Special Announcements:
1)We are continuing stories in Super Kids readers.
2 We will read a story for 2-3 days so children will be able to identify main idea,plot, and characters. This will help them transfer this critical thinking skill to their writing.
3 Phonics: Please practice writing lower case letters when you are doing phonics homework. This practice will help in developing writing skills.
4) Math: We will continue to practice Math Facts for 1 through 10 .We are moving on to Understanding Subtraction. Please continue to practice Math Facts at home so children will become more confident as we move to subtraction.
5) Science: We will continue to read about insects and bugs read and discuss the differences.
6)Social Studies: We are continuing our reading on communities. We will look at the different communities and how people adapt to their surroundings.
7)All Homework in Science, Social Studies and Religion are to be done in Notebooks. PLEASE REMIND THE CHILDREN TO SKIP LINES AND NUMBER THEIR RESPONSES. This practice will help them develop good writing habits.

Special Announcements:
1) We are waiting for additional phonics books to arrive.Once they do homework will be assigned nightly.
2) Math: We will be practicing our Math Facts in class and for homework. Practicing fact families will allow the children to understand patterns in math and help them when we move on to addition.
3) We will start Super Kids readers next week. Reading of stories will be done in class and read again at home. Writing responses will be based on stories read in class.
