Special Announcements
1. New Spelling Words are in folders. Next Spelling Test will be 5/17/2010.Next Math Test will be 5/17/2010. Religion Test 5/19/2010: Study sheets will be in folders.
2. In Math we will continue basic Geometry: we will continue to identify open and closed shapes. Example: closed shapes: Circle, square, triangle. Then move on to learn how to close these shapes in hands on activities.We will move on to symmetry.EX: If you cut a paper heart shape in half and put back together the shape will be equal. Take a few minutes each day and try to find these shapes at home or in the neighborhood . Examples: mirrors, kites so they become familiar with the math vocabulary. We will be reviewing Patterns and Pattern Rules in class and as part of our homework.
3. This Friday we will return to choosing library books from class library or your own books. There is no writing assignment, only reading for fun and sharing.
