Special Announcements
1. New Spelling Words are in folders. Next Spelling Test will be 5/10/2010.Next Math Test will be 5/10/2010. Phonics Test 5/11/2010: Study sheets will be in folders.
2. In Math we will be reviewing basic Geometry: we will continue to identify open and closed shapes. Example: closed shapes: Circle, square, triangle. Then move on to learn how to close these shapes in hands on activities and problems. Take a few minutes each day and try to find these shapes at home or in the neighborhood . Examples: cereal boxes are rectangles: 2 long sides /2 short sides: Ask the children what shape a STOP sign is so they become familiar with the math vocabulary.
3. This Friday Only: SuperKids Readers are going home… There is a small writing assignment. Students only have to answer 3 short questions about the story : Golly Helps…….
