Special Announcements:
1) We are beginning Super Kids Readers
2) We will read a story for 2-3 days so children will be able to identify main idea,plot and characters. This will help them transfer this critical thinking skill to their writing.
3) P honics: We will be alternating between phonics books and Super kids Phonics Books
4 Math: We will continue to practice Math Fact Families “1 +0 all the way to 1+10” in class and begin the “2s” Math Fact Family. Please continue to help students look for patterns in math facts. We will continue to practice identifying numbers and number words: EX: number 10/ Math word “ten”. In homework and in class we will begin simple addition problems and math sentences. All homework assignments are reviewed and practiced in class.
5) Science: We will continue to read and discuss plants, the plants we can eat and how plants are important to our environment.
6) Social Studies: We will begin reading and discussing communities and continue simple map skills: EX: locating N,S,W,E on maps.
7) All Homework in Science, Social Studies and Religion are to be done in Notebooks. PLEASE SIGN ALL HOMEWORK!!
