Homework Week of April 4th, 2011

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:

1)In Math: PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRACTICE at home our in class math lessons. This at home practice will enable the children to make connections in everyday situations.

At home or when shopping have FUN locating pounds(lbs) on cereal boxes/or ounces (oz) on juice boxes or on water bottles.
Point out what a quart looks like( milk or juice).
Have children write down the items they found and play a game.
Example:Can you find the ounces on my water bottle?
Whose water bottle has more water? How do you know?
These continued activities will reinforce critical thinking, writing and math skills.

2)In Science and Social Studies we will continue to read and research how plants and animals share the environment with people.

Writing: Choose 5 words in any order and write 5 sentences. Write 2 question sentences: PLEASE SKIP LINES/NUMBER YOUR SENTENCES:
